Automobile Refinishing

This includes full respray, washovers and change of color. Customers wanting to change the color of their cars have a wide selection of Solid, Metallic, Pearlescent and Special Effect colors to choose from. THE WET LOOK has more than a hundred thousand OEM (Original Equipment Manufactured) documented colors from all major car manufacturers including Alfa Romeo, BMW, Mercedes Benz, Honda, Nissan, Toyota, Lexus, Ferrari, Mitsubishi, Jaguar, Volkswagen, Audi, etc. The customer simply has to look at our library of color swatches; once the color selection is finalized,  THE WET LOOK will then mix that color in its own mixing room using the exact formula for that color from its microfiche containing a database of more than 100,000 colors.

The work duration, from disassembly, denting, substrate preparation, sanding, masking, spraying, color sanding, buffing, assembly and polishing is determined by the extent of denting and condition of the existing paint. Normally, cars with slight dents and minor scratches take 8 to 10 days for a washover and 10 to 12 days for a change color.

PAINT REJUVENATION

This process is aimed at giving a WET LOOK shine from dull finishes. THE WET LOOK’s expert paint technicians will first assess the paint condition as a car's finish tends to thin out over the course of time. The residual paint thickness of the car is then measured using a sophisticated paint thickness gauge before it undergoes a five stage (buffing and polishing among others) paint rejuvenation process.

Always remember, it is not a detailers or undercoat specialist’s job to bring back gloss and lustre to your car but a paint specialist’s job.

Collision and Panel Repairs

Repaired panels are sprayed with color matched basecoat and 2K clear coating following correct repair procedures. The newly sprayed paint will then blend in with the original finish for an invisible repair. Work duration is determined by the extent of damage; normally, a car with an average of 4 damaged panels takes about 4 to 5 days to repair and paint.

Ancillary Services

Exterior detailing, minor interior detailing, minor mechanical and electrical works and automobile airconditioning is also done at THE WET LOOK.

Insurance Claims

We welcome insurance claims. We have good working arrangements with major insurance companies, insurance brokers and agents. We can assist you with your insurance claim. You, the policy holder are not required to use a shop selected by the insurance company. Remember, you always have the right to have your collision damaged vehicle repaired at the shop of your choice.
